Educational platform in development

The screen that sends you back to the world.

Learn together. Grow as a family.

What we believe

An app that measures its own switching-off

Horizonte Vivo is a bilingual (Spanish and English) homeschooling platform for children aged 5 to 7. It does not replace the family: it equips it. The child uses the app for a while, then goes out to touch, measure, cook, watch the sky.

Most children's apps measure

  • How long you stay
  • Streaks and rewards for coming back
  • Screens completed

Horizonte Vivo measures the opposite

  • How many missions happened off-screen
  • How much real evidence of learning exists
  • How many skills are already independent
1

The adult is the center

Every lesson has two layers: first it equips the parent or guardian, then it guides the child.

2

No addictive design

No streaks, no tickets, no endless screens. The screen ends and the activity continues in the real world.

3

Evidence-based progress

A child moves forward when there is evidence they achieved it, not when they completed screens.

4

Privacy by design

Designed around COPPA principles: the child never sees settings, purchases or unapproved content.

The system

Three spaces, one family

The Root

The adult's space

Plan the household rhythm, understand the purpose of each lesson, record what was learned, see reports and approve content.

The Garden

The child's space

Short missions, simple language, no distractions. Everything the child sees was approved by their family, and every mission ends with an invitation to the real world.

The Campfire

The shared space

Experiences where adult and child are together and the adult's help is part of the learning.

The dynamic

A day in Horizonte Vivo

The home leads

The adult says how the family is today (normal, low energy, sick, travelling) and the intensity (full, light, essential). The day rearranges itself.

The child plays a short mission

In The Garden, and gets an invitation to the real world.

Adult and child do it together

Using the phrases and observations the app suggests to the adult.

The adult records the moment

A note, a photo, a drawing, whatever exists. That record is what moves progress.

Credits are approved by hand

Once the activity was done. The app never hands them out.

“Video doesn't watch the child. It's a mirror for the parent.”

The learning engine

Four stages for every skill

ExploringFirst contact, with help
DevelopingPractice with fading support
IndependentDoes it alone
TransferringUses it in new situations
Spanish and English are not a translation. The progressions are different on purpose: the sound systems are not the same and a literal translation does not teach reading.
It draws on many pedagogies

The tool is support, not a replacement: when the adult no longer needs a feature, the system says so and steps back. Sovereignty over retention.

In design

The Living House

Still a design

A companion the child teaches

It lives in a nine-room house, one room per area of knowledge. If the child writes “jump”, the companion jumps, but only learns to jump once the child writes it correctly. In maths, the companion goes to the shop and cannot buy anything until the child adds and subtracts. Rooms unlock additively and nothing earned is ever lost: the opposite of a Tamagotchi.

No sugar-coating

Where the project really stands

Works

  • Browsable prototype (v0) that serves as the specification
  • Family rhythm engine
  • Two-layer lessons and sibling mode
  • Mini-unit from a child's interest
  • Bilingual interface and Cultural Compass

Being built

  • The real application: accounts, families and protected data
  • Export and deletion of family files

Planned

  • The Living House
  • Connection Moments
  • Living Guide: AI only over approved content
  • State-by-state compliance templates (US)
  • Native apps and offline mode

There is no public product or open subscription yet.

How it is built

A team of agents, one human supervisor

The founder, Felix, supervises the product. It is built by a team of 30+ AI agents specialized in pedagogy, design, security, privacy, testing and bilingual content. They work task by task, with six checkpoints where nothing moves forward without his approval: at each one he tries the product by hand and decides. Every delivery then goes through an external audit with other models.

Technical base: Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase with row-level security on all family data, plus automated tests.

A project that grows with those who sustain it

The project is under way and needs hands. What helps most today:

Pilot families

With children aged 5 to 7 who will try it and tell the truth.

Educators and specialists

In early childhood, to review content and pedagogy.

Native speakers

Of Spanish and English, to protect the bilingualism.

Partners and funding

From those who want this to exist without addictive design.
